What Are the Cybersecurity World Awards?

Cybersecurity awards play a much more profound role than simply giving out yearly titles to companies and products. They support the industry’s evolution by acknowledging the most promising and effective solutions. Besides, events like this unite influential people in the industry, inspiring even more ideas. One of them is the Cybersecurity World Awards®, initiated by Globee Awards. These cybersecurity awards primarily aim to recognize organizations, products, individuals, and initiatives that contribute to the protection of networks, data, and digital systems in general.

How to Apply for Cybersecurity World Awards (Globee® Awards for Cybersecurity)?

If you want to benefit from the networking opportunities and the recognition that the cybersecurity awards provide, you might consider applying for the Cybersecurity World Awards. Registration for the 2024 edition has already started. You are eligible if you are a vendor or represent an organization, company, technology, or solution. You can also register if you are a member of an IT department or an end-user of the infosec products. 

As for the submission and fees, you get four options: an early bird, regular, late, and the last deadline. The price increases progressively based on the time when you register. There are also a couple of categories that don’t require a participation fee – the Chief Technology Officers Awards and Startup Achievement Awards (with eight subcategories depending on the industry).

Description: Founded in 2014, the Cyber Security Awards acknowledges innovation and new solutions by rewarding teams, individuals, and companies in the cybersecurity field. This cybersecurity award especially highlights its independence from any organization, product, or magazine. They believe this is what allows them to judge purely on the applicant’s merits.

Judges: The judges are well-known within the industry and have different professional. They assess all the participants collectively and make their final decision before the event on a judging day. 

Fees: The categories that honor individuals (Cyber Woman of the Year, CISO of the Year, Cyber Educator of the Year, etc.) have no fees. At the same time, all the other company-related categories (Cyber Security Software Company of the Year, Threat Detection Product of the Year, Best Security Consultancy of the Year, etc.) have a standard fee of £150/category for the early-bird registration and the normal price of £350/category.

Description: These cybersecurity awards are brought to life by the collaboration of Cybersecurity Insiders and the Information Security Community on LinkedIn. Cybersecurity Excellence Awards have over 200 nominations in four main categories:

• Cybersecurity product/service
• Cybersecurity company
• Cybersecurity industry solution
• Cybersecurity professional/team

According to these cybersecurity awards organizers, they offer great networking opportunities thanks to their community of over 600,000 cybersecurity specialists. 

Judges: Apart from the judges who assess the strength of the nomination, there is also a popular vote that will be considered if some nominations are tied for an award.

Fees: You can get s standard package with up to 3 nominations for $900. Another option is to get an award premium sponsorship package that costs $1,900 and allows up to 10 nominations.  

In 2018, SOC Prime was recognized as the winner at the annual Cybersecurity Excellence Awards and received two Bronze trophies, including the Fasterst Growing Cybersecurity Company and Best Security Team in North America awards.

Description: SC Magazine Awards honor the biggest accomplishments in cybersecurity for over 25 years.They offer 35+ nomination categories divided into two types: 

• Trust Awards. Aimed for acknowledging infosec products, solutions, and services (Best API Security Solution, Best Mobile Security Solution, etc.).
• Excellence Awards. Destined for individuals, companies, investors, and financial partners (Most Promising Unicorn, Most Promising Early-Stage Startup, Investor of the Year, etc.).

Judges: There is a panel of jurors that assesses the participants. The judges are hand-picked by the editorial team of SC Media and represent a selection of cybersecurity experts from different major sectors.

Fees: The early-bird entry costs $400/category, whereas the standard entry rate is $595/category.

In 2022, SC Awards Team announced SOC Prime as a finalist for the Most Promising Early-Stage Startup award, which illuminates emerging businesses of great promise offering strong flagship IT products.

CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards

Description: The CyberSecurity Breakthrough Awards acknowledge companies and individuals who produce infosec solutions, products, and services. These cybersecurity awards especially focus on recent breakthrough ideas. That’s why to be eligible, your product should be in the market for less than two years. The categories are quite limited compared to other cybersecurity awards. They come down to 15 nominations (e.g., Fraud Prevention, IoT Security, Network Access Control, etc.)

Judges: The panel of judges consists of different senior-level cybersecurity professionals, analysts, journalists, etc. Thanks to the variety of their backgrounds, the organizers believe they have a balance decision-making body.

Cyber Defense Awards

Description: Cyber Defense Awards, created by Cyber Defense Magazine, highlights the most prominent solutions and companies in over 220 categories, including Adversarial ML Threat Mitigation, Authentication (Multi, Single, or Two-Factor), and Machine Identity Management.

Judges: All the judges are infosec experts and CISSP, CEH, or FMDHS certified. They vote based on their independent opinion of the submitted services and products. 

Fees: As for the fees, these cybersecurity awards offer several packages – silver, gold, and platinum. Their prices range from $1,995 to $3995. Apart from nominations, they also include social media posts, ads, articles, interviews, etc. However, you can only pay for the nomination. There, the prices start at $995 for three categories for the super early bird rate.
